Axman has been a prominent figure in the No Prep Kings racing circuit, specifically racing with Stephen Brindle's Team Game Changers S550 Mustang during No Prep Kings Season 6. His performance has been remarkable, currently holding the 8th place in the main Invitational point standings and a respectable 3rd place in the Great 8.

One significant development is Axman's recent upgrade from a previously used MH6 Proline Hemi with a pro charger to a brand new MH7 Proline Hemi. Notably, many racers in the NPK circuit have either upgraded or are currently using the MH7 motor, including prominent names like Larry Larson, Ryan Martin, Murder Nova, Nate Sayler, and others. This shift to MH7 motors signifies the pursuit of the most cutting-edge technology and power for competitive advantage.

It's worth noting that being competitive in NPK now necessitates not just having a Procharged Hemi or a screw-blown Hemi, but having the very best of these options. Racing with an outdated motor can prove challenging when competing against rivals with the latest technology from Proline or Noonan. While some other racing organizations provide weight breaks for older or less capable engine combinations, NPK operates under different rules, and having the latest technology is often essential for success.

While it's still possible to win with older setups, the teams with the budget and resources often choose to upgrade to maintain their competitive edge. This approach ensures that they can remain competitive in a field filled with top-tier racers who have the latest and most powerful equipment.

For example, having an older screw-blown Hemi with a 4.84 bore space could put you at a disadvantage when racing against competitors like Kye Kelley and Justin Swanstrom, who have the latest 4.9 bore space setups, all while racing at the same weight. This is why many teams opt for the latest and most advanced equipment available from Proline, Noonan, or other providers.

The recent rule changes, including the reduction in overdrive for screw blowers from 98% to 92%, have also made pro charger setups more competitive in certain conditions. Despite this, racers like Kye Kelley continue to dominate with screw blown Hemis, while others, like Damon with a big block Chevy, prove that success can still be achieved with various setups.
